About 5th Grade Guy Stuff
All 5th grade boys and their dads or special family member are invited to attend a fun and informative evening as they learn about male puberty and the changes that go with it. This event takes place one evening every year outside of school hours, on campus at Santiago Hills.
fun for 5th grade boys
Light refreshments will be served. A small gift will also be handed out to all attendees. This is an event that all SH families look forward to at this special time in your student’s life. This is not a sex talk. This is a conversation about the physical changes in your student's body. You don’t want to miss this highly anticipated event in your child’s life.
Dad not available?
Bring granddad, uncle, or another special family member or friend to join the fun. Please note this is NOT a drop off event. Dad or another male guardian must be present with your student, because the purpose of the event is meant to be a conversation starter for boys and a trusted adult.
Health Education
The Guy Stuff program is an Irvine Unified District approved and recommended supplemental program to the 5th grade health curriculum. IUSD supports the home as the primary provider of education relating to the physical and emotional aspects of becoming a man. This program is designed to assist in this task by opening up and encouraging the dialog and interaction between parents and students.
Special Guest Speaker
Our special guest speaker is a district approved resource and will have a presentation for our boys about the changes they will experience as they grow. He leads this session at a number other IUSD schools.
