PTA TIGER TIMES

Dear {{recipient_firstname}},

Last week our hybrid and traditional students had a great first day of school in person. It was wonderful to see and feel the excitement in the schoolyard. At the same time, we missed the old times so much! It is amazing how resilient our students are. We will get through this together as a community - all our students, teachers, families and SH staff members are extremely important!

LET'S REACH OUR PLEDGE GOAL AND HAVE A HALLOWEEN PRIZE PARTY!

Great news! We have extended our Pledge Drive through October 16th. Please consider donating to help us meet our goal of $22,500. We still have about $6,000 to go. During these unprecedented times, we need your help more than ever! There are so many amazing things we can offer our students only if we have the funding!

If we hit our goal, we will be hosting a fun event for the WHOLE SCHOOL on October 30th. All classes will be invited to wear their Halloween costumes and enjoy a Chunk 'n Chip Cookie, a tasty, gourmet treat for every student to enjoy! Every class will have their own time slot and space where they can meet each other in a safe way (socially distanced and masked).

We would love to host this event for our whole school community!

Our Teachers Need Room Representatives!

The PTA is looking for flexible, fun, and communicative parents to serve as Room Representatives.

Room Reps will

  1. Send their class emails and announcements from the teacher and PTA
  2. Plan celebrations for the teacher's birthday and Staff Appreciation week
  3. Collect money and help the teacher plan class parties (if possible this year)
  4. Work with the class Yearbook Rep to collect photos.

Room Reps for classes in the Irvine Virtual Academy should be prepared to work with the Room Reps from other schools if their class is blended. This year is going to be like no other, so let's give the teachers all the support they need.

If you are interested in serving as a Room Rep this year, please volunteer through the PTA website. First, register for the site, then visit the Volunteer Page and sign up for your teacher.
